VisionWeb went to San Diego, CA last week for AOA's Optometry Meeting to announce the launch of Uprise, Practice Management and EHR by VisionWeb. It was a busy and exciting week with lots of fun activities to help share our big news with the Industry! We spread the word about Uprise at the show with our own freshly made "cloud candy", luggage tags, totebags, pens, and buttons! Not only was the cloud candy a big hit that helped spread the word about cloud services and Uprise, but it could also be smelled across the show floor!
Optometry's Meeting is a great show that we look forward to each and every year. It's a show that gives us the chance to interact with our users, colleagues, and students. The show this year was especially exciting for us because it was the first time we were able to show live demos of Uprise to the Industry. And the feedback we recieved, was great!
The show started out for us as at Vision Monday's event, The State of Optometry: Present and Future. VisionWeb's President and CEO, Ken Engelhart, announced Uprise to the Industry at this event. From there, the exhibit hall opened on Thursday and our sales team was ready in the booth to start showing off all the features of Uprise.
Another highlight for us at the show is sponsoring the UC - Berkeley students at the Optometry Student Bowl. This year, they had a beach theme so we supplied them with beach balls, whistles, megaphones, and maracas to help get them in the spirit. The Berkeley students are always full of energy and great ideas, we couldn't have found a better student body to sponsor!
