Does anyone know if it is a "requirement" for Optometrist and its staff to keep a CPT book physically in their office, when they have someone else doing their billing with a business such as mine? Thanks, Callie

We followed up with our insurance team on the question about keeping a CPT book on site. They tell us they aren't aware of it being a requirement and have never heard of such in any courses they’ve taken. They also double-checked The Ophthalmic Coding Series manual and found no mention of a requirement to purchase a CPT book. Hope that helps!
