Opticians Association of America (OAA) Royalty Program
VisionWeb provides royalties to the OAA on orders that OAA members place through VisionWeb, supporting the people who use our services every day. The OAA distributes the royalties to the state associations from which the ordering member belongs. The state associations then use the royalties to support programs and cover membership costs at their own discretion. Royalties earned by OAA members located in states with no affiliate state association will be paid directly to the OAA.
All OAA members who use VisionWeb are eligible to participate.
Under the terms of the program, OAA members enroll their practices to earn royalties from ordering ophthalmic products over VisionWeb during the annual earning period of April 1 to March 31. All orders placed by any member of your staff will count towards your practice’s annual order total. Once the practice hits an order volume threshold, they qualify to earn royalties on the transaction fee paid to VisionWeb by the suppliers receiving the orders.
After placing 600 orders during the earning period—April to March—your practice qualifies to earn a 1 percent royalty on the transaction fee paid by the suppliers receiving the orders. The royalty percentage increases to 2 percent and 3 percent, respectively, at annual ordering thresholds of 1,200 and 2,400 orders.

Update to OAA Royalty Program
If you're practice is a member of the OAA, and using VisionWeb to order online, you need to make sure you are signed up for the OAA Royalty Program! VisionWeb's OAA Royalty Program offers you a great incentive to get started this year! If an eyecare practice signs up before March 31 2012, then all of the products ordered through VisionWeb from April 1, 2011 through the annual earning period ending March 31 will count towards the royalties your state association earns!
