3 Tips For Preparing For An Eye Care Industry Tradeshow

Attending eye care industry tradeshows offer opportunities to network with peers, obtain CE credits, and take a closer look at the technology that can modernize your optometric practice and help you optimizing your office workflow. With Vision Expo East just around the corner, we wanted to provide some tips to help you better prepare so you can make the most of your time in New York. Whether this is your first time attending Vision Expo East or you’ve attended too many times to count, preparing for a tradeshow can be overwhelming.

Below to help you prepare for your time at Vision Expo East.

Checklist For Preparing for Vision Expo East

Create Your SchedulePlan for a successful eye care industry tradeshow with these three tips.

A lot happens during Vision Expo East. Between CE courses, sightseeing, after parties, your day can fill up quickly. Before you head out to the tradeshow, create a rough itinerary that will help you visualize breaks in your day so you can plan some time to visit the expo floor, eat, and relax.

If you want to see a specific vendor, or would like to meet with someone, reach out to them before the event so you can both put it on your schedule.

Map Out The Venue

Vision Expo East offers multiple floors of exhibitors. If you haven’t been to Vision Expo East in the past couple of years, or haven’t been to the Javits Center, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and feel lost. Take a few moments before you leave to review both the floor plans and your schedule to help you get to where you need on time.

Create A Packing List

Waiting until the last minute to pack for the tradeshow could cause stress and make you forget items that you’ll need. About a week before the show, start making a list of things you’ll need to pack.
