New eBook: The Final Rule and Meaningful Use Attestation Changes

Maybe you've never intended on participating in The Meaningful Use Program, and haven't even thought Meaningful Use attestationtwice about adopting an EHR software. So why should you be concerned with the Final Rule or Meaningful Use attestation in general?

Most Optometrists are eligible for the Meaningful Use Medicare Incentive Program, and if you're eligible and choose not to participate by 2015, your practice is going to be penalized through lower reimbursements for care provided to Medicare patients. So think again if you thought you'd be able to get away, pain-free, without participating!

What You Need to Know about the Final Rule and Meaningful Use Attestation Changes

If you don't participate by 2015, your practice will be subjected to payment adjustments to your Medicare reimbursements that start at 1% per year, and compound to a max of a 5% annual adjustment. You have to continue to demonstrate Meaningful Use every year to avoid adjustments in subsequent years.

Unless you're able to complete a hardship exemption application by November 30 of this year, you won't be able to avoid the penalties in 2015, but you can still save yourself from penalties in 2016. Check out our latest eBook for all the details on understanding the Final Rule and changes for 2014 and 2015 to save your practice from future penalties!
